~ James Macintyre & Co. 18th Century Range Covered Sugar Bowl c1910 ~
A fine sugarbowl from James Macintyre & Companys ’18th Century’ range dating between 1905-1910
The piece consists of a bowl on a circular attached base, with a separate lid.
The bowl is decorated with various garlands, including forget-me-nots on the lid, swags & roses against a white background. Each edge is decorated with gilt.
The base is stamped with the Macintyre Burlsem makers mark & the pattern number “M2615”.
~ Dimensions ~
The dish has a diameter of 6 inches (15.2 cm) & a height of 4 inches (10.2 cm). It weighs 520 g.
~ Condition ~
There is a little crazing to the glaze, a little wear to the gilt and one small chip to the underside of the rim but otherwise the piece is in good order with no cracks, repairs or major damages.
