~ Large Moorcroft Anemone Pattern Vase 1928-49 ~

A lovely large Walter Moorcroft ‘Anemone’ pattern vase dating to between 1928 and 1949.

The vase is of ovoid form with a slightly flared neck.

The vase has tube line decoration of anemone flowers in pinks and purples with green leaves on a deep blue ground. The inside of the vase also
has the deep blue glaze throughout.

The vase has the Walter Moorcroft impressed facsimile signature stamp to the base as well as stamps reading ‘Potter To H.M. The Queen’ and
‘Made in England’.

The base is also marked with the hand-painted initials of Walter Moorcroft in blue ink.

~ Dimensions ~

The vase has a diameter at its widest point of 19cm (7 ½ inches) and a height of 32cm (12 ½ inches).

It weighs 2.8Kg.

~ Condition ~

The vase has a little crazing to the glaze within the decorated area of flowers but is in otherwise great condition with no cracks or chips.
