~ Moorcroft Flambé Orchid Table Lamp With Gilt Mounts ~
A stunning William Moorcroft period lamp with tube lined orchid flowers on a red to blue graduated background. It has gilt mounts including the light fitting and stand of four ball feet with scrolled surround over the base plate.
It dates to around 1930 at my best guess. There are VERY few original William Moorcroft pieces on the market, most are from the 1970’s or modern.
~ Condition ~
The lamp is in excellent condition, free from chips and cracks. There are a few minor and tiny fleabites to the glaze. The lampshade could do with a light (get it!) wash. One of the fixing screws is missing.
It was successfully PAC tested for safety on the 2nd of September 2020.
~ Dimensions ~
The lamp itself is 43 cm (17 inches) tall, with the shade it is 52 cm (20.5 inches) tall.
The base diameter is 12.5 cm (5 inches) wide.
The set weighs 2.26 Kg.
