~ Moorcroft Spring Blossom Ginger Jar With Lid c1990 ~
A Moorcroft ginger jar complete with lid, in the Spring Blossom Pattern.
The piece was designed by Sally Tuffin and issued between 1990 and 1991 as part of the catalogue range.
The jar has a typical ovoid form, with tube decoration of delicate pink flowers on a ground ranging from green at the base, through pale blue to a
cream. The cream glaze continues to the inside.
The underside of the jar has the ‘Moorcroft, Made in England’ stamp and the initials of Walter Moorcroft.
~ Dimensions ~
The jar has a diameter of approx. 5 inches (12.5cm) and a height including lid of 6 inches (15cm).
It weighs 715g.
~ Condition ~
The jar is in very good condition with no cracks or chips but does have quite a bit of crazing to the glaze.
