A pair of old Chipperfield’s Circus Horse Brasses on their original complete leathers with buckles and star decoration.
One is the single Elephant and the other has the Elephant with a Tiger on his back with a red background.
*Condition*
These are old so the leather is slightly cracked in places, and there is a bit of damage to the top left of the brass area on the Elephant and Tiger brass.

~ Circa 1850 Gilt Half Horse ~
The piece is a hollow back in relief piece of brass with a gilt wash, depicting a stallion with saddle and bridle. The accoutrements are in bright gilt, the horse's body is in a semi-matt finish. There are a bolt and nut finishing to the reverse.
~ Condition ~
The gilt is worn in places, otherwise fine.

The horse is 25 cm (9.75 inches) wide by 21 cm (8.25 inches) tall.
