Description

– Original French WWI Pneumatic Mortar “Type A” –

Here we have a lovely example of the French Type A mortar round for the Brandt 60mm Pneumatic Mortar System is a fine example of its kind. It is completely inert and poses no threat. The mortar was conceived with the concept of portability in mind, in order to provide infantry support. With a weight of only 22 kg, it was considered a lightweight option.

– Condition –

The mortar round is in excellent condition for its age and use. It still has the fins, which unscrew for transport, and the safety pin at the top. It does have some age-related pitting on the mortar with traces of original paint. Overall a fantastic piece for any collector.
