Description

*Original WW2-Cold War, Leather Four-Cell SMG Magazine Pouch with Shoulder Strap*

A scarce leather four-compartment magazine pouch, designed to carry straight stick magazines for submachine guns. Constructed from heavy brown leather with brass stud closures, reinforced stitching, and an adjustable shoulder strap attached to the rear via twin D-rings. Each of the four cells measures approximately 25.5 cm deep, 3.5 cm wide, and 5 cm front-to-back, making it ideal for German MP 38/40 magazines, Soviet PPSh-41 or PPS-43 stick magazines, and Yugoslav M49/56 SMG magazines. The pouch measures approx. 25.5 × 15.8 × 5 cm overall.

These four-cell pouches are known in German, Yugoslav, and Russian service, and were widely interchanged across Europe during and after the Second World War, often pressed into use by occupation forces, resistance groups, and later Cold War armies.

*Condition*
The leather shows expected age wear and patina but remains solid and supple. Stitching is strong throughout. Brass studs display verdigris from age. The original adjustable shoulder strap is present and intact, showing surface wear. A well-preserved and highly usable example. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
