~ Original WW2 Geman Mauser K98 Rifle Bayonet S84/98 sn. 5628 ~

German World War 2 Bayonet Kar98K

Here we have a fine specimen of the M1884/98 Bayonet designed for the Mauser K98 rifle. It bears the maker’s mark of E.u.F Hörster on one side and the serial number “5628s” on the other. The safety catch button is serial-numbered with matching numbers.

The waffenampt stamp is still visible on the pommel section.

*Dimensions*

The blade measures 24.5cm in length and the overall lenght of the bayonet is 40.5cm.

*Condition*

Despite its age and use, this bayonet is in great condition, with an even patina on the blade and clear markings. Although the spine of the hilt has suffered some knocks, it remains sturdy and intact. The grips bear the expected usage marks. The scabbard shows uniform pitting.
