Original WW2 M42 Nazi Wehrmacht Helmet

This is an original M42 single decal Wehrmacht helmet from Nazi Germany in WW2. It still retains its original rough texture grey-green texture paint and now has a yellowed single decal with a zinc and sheepskin liner.  The M42 Helmet was introduced on the 6th July, 1942, and was the last time German Helmets were upgraded during the war. They maintained much of the design of the M40 Helmets, but does not feature the rolled edge of its predecessor – this was to save both time and material during manufacture. This helmet was made between 1942-1945 by the Eisenhuttenverk Thale factory.

*Condition*

Very good condition. Still retains most of its original paint with a patina that reflects its age and use. Chin strap is missing and the liner has darkened.
