RAF Propeller Boss Mantle Clock

~ RAF Propeller Boss Mantle Clock ~

A great looking mantle clock fashioned from the central boss of a probably WW1 period RAF fighter  wooden propeller fitted with a 1920's Smiths clock movement to the centre. The clock is fitted with ten bronze bolts.

The clock dial has brass edged glass front, black numerals, black steel spade hands and an aluminium surround.

~ Dimensions ~

The item measures 36 cm (14 inches) wide, 17 cm (10 ½ inches) in height with a depth of 9 cm (3 ½ inches).

It weighs 4.1 Kg.

~ Condition ~

The clock is in good condition with only general light wear (scratches. the odd tiny dent etc) from age and use.

The dial has oxidation from age.

The clock is not currently in working order but as a whole the item is a great display piece despite this.
