~ Rare WW1 Czech Legion Adrian Helmet ~
Here we have a nice interesting Czech Legion helmet, formed in the fashion of the French foreign Legion in WW1.
These helmets were worn by Czech and in some cases Slovak volunteers on the western front in the mid to late war. These soldiers were fighting alongside the French and other Entente powers to gain support for an independent Bohemia.
The helmets were issued to both officers and privates with the aim of reducing head injuries (the French studies showed that the steel Adrian prevented 75% of all head injuries) and were uniformly adopted by all of the Czech Legion.
~ Dimensions ~
The helmet is 11 inches (28 cm) from back to front.
The helmet weighs 725g.
~ Condition ~
Aside from some minor paint loss and some rust to the iron badge the helmet is in good condition for its age with its leather liner and chinstrap complete.
