~ Ships Copper Starboard Side Lantern ~
A corner mounted starboard side ships lantern.
The lantern has a copper body with glass front and features a removable green inner glass screen.
A brass plaque to the front reads ‘Starboard’.
The original oil lamp has been removed and instead the piece has been fitted with an electric light.
~ Dimensions ~
The lantern measures 38cm (15 inches) wide with a height of 46cm (18 inches).
It weighs 8.23 Kg
~ Condition ~
The glass elements are free from damage.
One of the bolts that attach the handle is missing.
The lantern has a dull finish with some minor dents but remains in good order and still presents well.
The electric light fitting is rather old and is fitted with an obsolete style plug so is currently not working.
As with all second hand electrical goods, we recommend the purchaser have it electrically tested by a professional before use – we do not offer this service and it is sold on that basis.
