~ Silver Military Presentation Salver c1994- Royal Field Artillery Regiment ~
This piece was presented to a Warrant Officer of the 1st Order (a Regimental Sergeant Major) by the officers of his regiment on his retirement from the service.
It is a solid silver Chippendale salver with a fluted rim and small scrolling feet.
As well as its presentation inscription (dated 1995), the plate is decorated with the cypher or badge of the 26th Regiment Royal Artillery, originally a brigade mobilised in WW1 who, in later years have become the British Army’s Divisional Precision Fires unit.
Hallmarks reveal that this piece was smithed by Carr’s of Sheffield Ltd. in Sheffield 1994.

It stands ¾ of an inch (2 cm) tall on its feet and has a diameter of 8 inches (20.5 cm).
It weighs 355 grams.
~ Condition ~
This piece is in excellent all round condition, standing evenly on its feet and bearing no dents and only the very faintest instances of surface scratching.
