A charming image with great perspective, showing the fortifications of Valetta in the distance. There is a British Royal Navy pre-Dreadnought class battleship in the middle distance with oared fishing boats to the fore.

It is initialled V. D. to the lower left.

It is presented in its original glazed gilt wooden frame with a single mount.

All in good order, the watercolour is free from foxing.
