A Staffordshire mug of Father Neptune.

The mug is in the form of a bearded King Neptune, god of the seas. He is wearing a crown with fish & starfish. The mug has a seahorse as the handle.

The base is stamped…

“Genuine Staffordshire, Hand Panted, Shorter & Sons Ltd, England”.

which dates it to between 1940 and 1964.
