A wonderful set of large format paperback books detailing the events of WW1, fully illustrated with plates, photographs, maps and plans, upto 1916.

Here we have parts 1 to 9 of the set.

This set of books were published in parts whilst the Great War was still in progress, this was available by subscription only due to the difficulties of book production at that time with paper being hard to obtain. Publication continued regardless because the work was considered of great importance due to it being a ‘current record of the stupendous events now passing…’

~ Dimensions ~

Each edition measures 7 ¼ inches (18.5cm) by 9 ¾ inches (25cm) by ¾ of an inch (2cm) and weighs approximately 670g. The whole set weighs 6.040Kg

~ Condition ~

The books are in different states with some being in wonderful condition others coming apart at the spine a little but overall this set is in very decent condition for its age.
There is some general wear and some mild foxing as to be expected.
