~ Vickers New Zealand Heavy Machine Gun 1944 Dated Clinometer Sight Mark IV ~
The sight is of bronze construction with an olive drab green painted finish. It is stamped “W.H.P.”, “1944”, “Clinometer Sight Mk. IV”, “New Zealand” and “No. 1949.”.
The device was used on a Vickers heavy machine gun to aim suppressing fire.
~ Condition ~
It is in good working order, the bubble is present in the spirit level. The paint is worn.
