Description

~ Victorian 1827 Pattern Royal Navy Officers' Sword And Scabbard By J Starkey ~

The sword cutler, J Starkey & Co, whose name is engraved on the ricasso, was in business at 23 Conduit Street between 1856-1914 so this sword can be dated between 1856 and 1901.

It has Queen Victoria's crown on the guard and comes with its black leather scabbard.

~ Condition ~

Please refer to the images for the condition. There is some blackening to the blade.

~ Dimensions ~

The sword is 94cm (37 inches) in length with a 79cm (31 inches) blade.
