Complete with its original steel scabbard, engraved gilt-brass hilt mounts, and ivory or bone grips, this is an impressive senior officer’s dress sabre representative of the prestige military culture of the East India Company and British Army during the early Victorian and late Georgian period. A highly decorative and collectible example of one of the most iconic officer sword patterns of the 19th century.
