~ WW1 Royal Flying Corps Sergeants Uniform Set ~
The set comprises of a tunic, a pair of trousers and a cap.
The tunic is of a sergeant of the Royal flying corps. Both sleeves bear the rank and name of the corps.
On the chest the RFC badge sits above a Military Medal and two ribbons, one of the War Medal and one of the Victory Medal.
The military medal has rough edges, the original name being erased. Most probably the soldier lost its medal and used another one as replacement.
The tunic in stamped inside, on the canvas lining with the War Department ‘WD and broad arrow’.
The cap is stamped inside WD 1916 and the manufacturer’s size mark 7 1/8.
The trousers are not visibly marked.

The tunic is 32 inches (81 cm) long from the top of the collar to its lower end.
The collar diameter is 16 inches (41 cm).
The armpit to armpit width is 22 inches (56 cm).
The waist is 21 ½ inches (55 cm).
The trousers are 39 inches (99 cm) long with a waist of 16 inches (40.5 cm).
The cap is size 7 1/8.
~ Condition ~
The set is in excellent condition and been kept very clean.
