A nice quality Second World War era Henry Hughes & Son ‘Husun’ Sextant, serial number 41630.
The sextant is marked ‘REF No. 68/177’.
It come in its original green velvet lined Bakelite case.
The sextant is complete with its oil bottle, oil dibber and key.
The inside of the lid bears an examination label to confirm it correctly functioned at that time, this is dated 18/09(19)44.

The case measures 20cm (8 inches) by 20cm (8 inches) by 14cm (5 ½ inches).
The cased set weighs 3.33 Kg
~ Condition ~
The piece presents well. All filters are free from cracks, the optics are decent as are the mirrors.
The case is in good order with light surface wear but no damages. The lock works well.
