This is a hand bearing compass used by the RAF and Royal Navy for navigation. The compass is complete with original wooden storage box. Inside the lid of the box is an examination stamp dated 1944 and the compass has various markings around its circumference.

Condition

The compass is in good condition but is not currently working. The compass disk is bent at parts and the exterior has some general loss of finish. The rear of the box lid is held on with tape. Please see pictures for more detail.
