~ WWI Imperial German M16 Machine Gunners Stahlhelm Helmet With Painted Camouflage ~
The helmet is camouflaged with geometric shapes of black, green, sand and brown edged in black.
On the left side is an MG08/15 machine gun stencil.
The helmet still retains its liner with padding but there is no chinstrap.
~ Dimensions ~
The helmet measures 30 cm (12.0 inches) in length by 23 cm (9.0 inches) wide by 19 cm (7.5 inches) high.
It weight 1.05 Kg.
~ Condition ~
The skull is in fair order with quite a bit of rust, principally to the top, which also has 4 perforations. I suspect these were in-the-field ventilation holes as the metal is still quite thick there and they are smooth on both sides.
