The badge consists of the regiments badge; a star above a banner with “The Cameronians” inside. The badge is silvered in colour.

The Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) was a rifle regiment of the British Army, the only regiment of rifles amongst the Scottish regiments of infantry. It was formed in 1881 under the Childers Reforms by the amalgamation of the26th Cameronian Regiment and the 90th Perthshire Light Infantry. In 1968, the regiment was one of two infantry regiments that decided to disband rather than amalgamate with another regiment, the other being the York and Lancaster Regiment.

The badge has a width of 3.3 inches (8.4 cm) & a height of 2.5 inches (6.3 cm). It weighs 17 g.

There is some minor age wear but the badge is in good condition.
