~ 1912 18ct Yellow Gold Ruby & Diamond Ring UK Size N US 6 1/2 ~
A lovely vintage ring of 18ct gold set with two round-cut rubies and a single round-cut diamond.
The stones are claw set in a row to the front of the ring with the rubies flanking the diamond.
They are mounted in a decorative elliptical setting, framed with textured patterning to the shoulders of the band.
The band is plain to the reverse.
The ring is hallmarked inside the band for 18ct gold, Birmingham, with a date of 1912 and the makers mark of ‘JH’.
~ Dimensions ~
The rubies measure 0.05 carats (2mm diameter) each.
The diamond measures 0.03 carats (1.5mm diameter).
The ring is a UK size N which is a US size 6 1/2 (16.9mm diameter).
It weighs 2.5g.
~ Condition ~
The ring is unfortunately missing two stones. These should be either side of the other stones at the far ends of the setting. Despite
their absence the ring still presents very well and you wouldn’t necessarily notice their absence unless upon close inspection.
The stones and ring have a little light wear but overall the ring is in a nice condition, especially considering its age.
