~ Cold Painted Spelter Figure Of A Rugby Football Player After Xavier Raphanel ~
The statue depicts a young man, running with the ruby ball, in a style of clothing from the early 20th century. It now stands on a green flecked marble base. It was delicated cold painted in earthy tones. We estimate the age of this piece to be mid-20th century.
Xavier Raphanel (1876-1957) was a French sculptor known for producing high end bronze pieces.

Please refer to the images for the condition. There are a few minor nibbles to the marble base. The figure is in excellent order, a few areas of wear to the cold painted finish.

On its base, the figurine is 41 cm (16.25 inches) tall. It weighs 3.4 Kg.
