~ Cased Set Of Six Silver Coffee Spoons – Sheffield 1936 ~
A decent set of six silver coffee spoons with the original case dating to 1936.
The spoons are of a simple design, mostly plain but with a raised decoration running along the edges of the handles.
Each spoon is fully hallmarked for silver, Sheffield, 1936 and with the makers mark of ‘T.B & S’ for Thomas Bradbury & Sons Ltd.
The case is of textured black leatherette with a cream silk and black velvet interior with the Jewellers name ‘Ogdens, Harrogate’.
The set comes with a calling card and gift note dated ‘June 3rd 1938’.
~ Dimensions ~
The spoons each measure 8.5cm in length.
The case measures 14.5cm (5 ¾ inches) by 12.5cm (5 inches) with a depth of 2cm (3/4 of an inch).
The boxed set weighs 211g.
~ Condition ~
The spoons are in a very nice condition with very little wear and no damages.
The box is in a nice condition with some light general wear.
