~ 9ct Yellow Gold Propelling Pencil – E. Baker & Son Circa 1910 ~
A nice quality propelling pencil (or mechanical pencil) in 9ct yellow gold.
The pencil has a textured gold body. The back end screws off to reveal a place for spare pencil leads.
The pencil is fitted with a hinge with suspension loop so it can be hung from a chain.
The pencil is named ‘E. Baker & Son’ and is marked for 9ct gold. It has a British registry design number of ‘566825’ which dates it to around 1910/11.
~ Dimensions ~
The pencil has a length of 12cm (4 ¾ inches) and weighs 28.2g.
~ Condition ~
The pencil is in a nice condition in general but is a little squashed and dented to the front end. It is however in good working condition.
