~ Late 19th Century Swiss Cylinder Musical Box ~
The inlaid rosewood box has a hinged lid and centred with an inlaid musical trophy decoration of a horn and drum in front of floral arrangements.
The underside has been a printed list of the eight airs and the enclosed section features a 11 inch brass cylinder playing steel comb with 77 tines.
~ Dimensions ~
The case has a width of 20 inches (50.5cm), a depth of 9 inches (23cm) and a height of 6 inches (15.25cm). The height with the lid open is 13.5 inches (34.25cm). It weighs 9.16kg.
~ Condition ~
The case, whilst it was some wear, Some wear to the wood, remains in an overall very decent condition. The mechanism has been tested and is in good working order with a great tone and volume. The music list has loss. There is no key to the lock.
