The Chambers Book of Days (The Book of Days: A Miscellany of Popular Antiquities in Connection with the Calendar, Including Anecdote, Biography, & History, Curiosities of Literature and Oddities of Human Life and Character) was written by the Scottish author Robert Chambers.
It was a miscellany of popular antiquities in connection with the calendar, and it is supposed that his excessive labour in connexion with this book hastened his death.
The books contain illustrated title pages and numerous engravings, both with matching marble styled front & back plates.
Volume one has 831 pages and was published in 1863, volume 2 has 839 pages and was published in 1864.

~ Condition ~
The front & back plates, as well as the spines, of both books are loose, the spines are extremely worn. The pages inside are slightly yellowed but remain in generally good condition.
