~ 1970’s Russian Cased Celestial Star Globe ~
A circa 1970’s Russian/USSR navy star or celestial globe.
The globe, used for navigation shows the position of the stars in relation to the earth.
The yellow globe can spin on its axis and has movable metal rings with numbered increments for measuring.
It has three metal clips (which attach to the rings) clipped inside the lid of the case.
It is housed in a grey metal case with handle.
~ Dimensions ~
The globe itself has an approximate diameter of 16.5cm (6 ½ inches).
The cased globe measures 24cm (9 ½ inches) in diameter and 22cm (8 ½ inches) in height.
It weighs 2.5 Kg.
~ Condition ~
The globe is in a very nice condition and is in good working order.
The case has a few scratches and dings from use and is missing one of its rubber feet but is otherwise in good order.
