~ WW2 German 12×60 Carl Zeiss Binoculars With Tripod Stand ~
The 12×60 was an observational and survey ‘telescope’ used by German anti-aircraft batteries the Kriegsmarine and other areas of German military for spotting aircraft.
They would often have been mounted on a 4m rangefinder, but in this case the binoculars have been fitted with a cradle and gimbal and mounted on an adjustable metal tripod.
