~ WW1 Beadwork Made by Turkish Prisoner Captured at Galapoli ~
A small beadwork sash made by a Turkish prisoner of war captured at Galipoli during the First World War.
It reads ‘Turkish Prisoner’.
It is mounted on a black card ground and presented in a vintage frame.
~ Dimensions ~
The beadwork measures approx. 30.5cm (12 inches) in length.
The frame is 32cm (12 ½ inches) by 27cm (10 ¼ inches).
The framed piece weighs 840g
~ Condition ~
The beadwork is in very good condition with only a couple of minor issues (see images).
The beadwork has come away from its mount so sags in its frame and would benefit from reframing.
The frame is in reasonable order.
