A bronze boat badge from HMS Norfolk presented on a wood mount.
HMS Norfolk (1927-1950) was a County-class heavy cruiser of the Royal Navy. She served throughout the Second World War and was involved in the sinking of the German Navy’s battleships Bismarck and Scharnhorst.
The crest is of heavy bronze with a gold finish. It is of pentagonal form framed by a rope border showing an image to the centre of a feather piercing a banner reading ‘Ich Dien’ (I Serve) with crown atop.
The badge is screw fixed on a pentagonal wood mount with suspension hook to the reverse.

The badge measures 18cm (7 ¼ inches) by 18cm (7 ¼ inches).
The mount measures 27cm (10 ½ inches) by 26cm (10 ¼ inches).
Together they weigh 2.2 Kg.
~ Condition ~
Both the badge and mount are in a very nice condition with only minimal wear.
