~ Early Edwardian Silver Sugar Shaker Sheffield 1901 ~
A lovely Edwardian sterling silver sugar shaker dated for 1901.
The shaker is of baluster form in plain silver with a decoratively pierced dome cover topped with finial.
It is fully hallmarked to both parts for Sheffield Silver with a date of 1901 and with the makers mark of ‘W&H’ (though this is rather worn).
~ Dimensions ~
The shaker has an approximate diameter of 4cm and a height of 9cm (3 ½ inches).
It weighs 30g.
~ Condition ~
The underside of the base is lifting a little and there is some heavy oxidation around the edge of the base.
The foot is impacted into the body a little making the shaker lean at a slight angle.
Otherwise it is in a nice condition with only the odd minor ding.
