*German, WW2, SA Marine Visor cap cockade*
The rare central cockade for the SA Marine visor cap, modelled on the standard national cockade but having the SA insignia in frosted white metal to the centre.
The Sturmabteilung SA; literally “Storm Division” or Storm Troopers was the original paramilitary wing of the Nazi Party. The SA also had several military training units. The largest was the SA-Marine, which served as an auxiliary to the Kriegsmarine (German Navy) and performed search and rescue operations as well as harbor defense.
