The Lee–Enfield or Enfield is a bolt-action, magazine-fed repeating rifle that served as the main firearm of the military forces of the British Empire and Commonwealth during the first half of the 20th century, and was the British Army’s standard rifle from its official adoption in 1895 until 1957. This is one of the most iconic weapons of the 20th century. The gun is deactivated.

In a multi decade service life (particularly during wartime) rifles would often be inspected and reissued - sometimes they would be fully overhauled and reissued. This has war arrows on the sight and later marks. Sadly the issue marks have been polished off. This has post 1954 BNP marks and RFI 78 -Rifle Factory Ishaspore, 1974.

*Condition*
This rifle is in good condition with some light surface damage across the wooden parts. The metal parts have an light, even patina and the trigger is not held with any tension. It is deactivated to old spec and the bolt slides smoothly and can be primed and dryfired. Please see pictures for more detail as they form part of our condition report.
