~ Victorian Engraved Mother of Pearl Small Purse ~
This is a lovely little expanding purse with a brass metal frame and mother of pearl front and back. The front is beautifully engraved with leaves and flowers to one side, the other is plain. The inside of the purse is sectional and covered in red coloured silk, with a center section that can be closed with a clasp.
~ Dimensions ~
The purse is 3 inches (7.5cm) long by 2.15 inches (5.25cm) wide and 0.6 inches (1.5cm) deep.
It weights 48.2 grams.
~ Condition ~
The condition of the piece is very decent for its age. The mother of pearl is in good order with a tiny chip on the edge of the back. The metal frame is worn as well as interior. The silk is frayed and partially detached. The purse shuts tight when pressed hard.
