~ London Scottish Volunteers Belt Buckle ~
A two piece construction belt buckle in cast bronze decorated with the clasps of thistles groups. At the centre is a rounded decoration, the actual lock with the lion from the cap Badge & “London Scottish Volunteers” going around the centre.
The London Scottish was a volunteer infantry regiment of the British Army. Formerly a regiment, the unit is now ‘A’ (London Scottish) Company of the London Regiment.

The belt buckle is 3.5 inches (8.9 cm) wide with the central piece having a diameter of 1.8 inches (4.5 cm). It weighs 104 g.
~ Condition ~
The brass has the typical amount of wear, and the brass on the reverse has rubbed from use & started to discolour but the piece remains in mostly good condition.
