Description

The type 32 sword had a machined blade manufactured at the Tokyo Hohei Kosho Arsenal. This type of sword would have been used in the Russo-Japanese war, World War 1 and World War 2. This particular sword is known as the ‘Otsu’ and has a blade length of 770mm which is shorter than the alternative, ‘Ko’ at 830mm. It has fine markings and comes with its original scabbard with matching serial numbers.

Condition

This sword is in excellent condition. The blade is in near perfect condition with a small area of pitting near the tip. However, this does not detract from the superb condition of the sword. Please see pictures to confirm this condition as they form part of the condition report.
