Of a coppery metal the front has a Volkswagen Beetle under a swastika in a cog. The front reads…

“GRUNDSTEINLEGUNG DES VOLKSWAGEN WERKES MAI 1938”

which refers to the grand opening of the VW factory, May 1938.

This one has a makers mark of I over A and GESCESCH.

It measures 3.5 cm (1.5 inches) wide by 2.8 cm (1.1 inches) tall and weighs 9g approximately.

All in good order, the clasp works well.
