~ 1943 HMS Dunbarton Castle Name Board ~

This is the name board of a Castle class Corvette with a compliment of 112 in the Royal Navy, made and serving in World War 2 before being decommissioned and scrapped in 1961.

She served in the battle of the Atlantic and as part of the Atlantic convoy ships.

The Castle class was a very modern ship for the time being armed with anti submarine mortars and radar.

The board is in rather good condition.

There seems to be no damage or wear to the paint or letters.

The board has some scuffs around the edges from handling.

There is some damage to the back where some fittings have been removed.
