~ A Pair Of Circa 1910 Royal Doulton Stoneware Hunting Scene Ewers ~
These stoneware jugs are wide based and of tapering form.
They are moulded in relief with a hunting scene of a huntsman with dogs.
Each jug has a single handle in the form of a tree branch.
The neck has a high gloss shine while the rest of the jugs are typical matt stoneware.
The bases have been impressed with the ‘Royal Doulton’ stamp (1902-1922), the codes ‘7797’ and ‘336’ and also a handwritten ‘X6732’.
~ Dimensions ~
The jugs have a height of 10 inches (25.5cm) and a base diameter of 5 inches (12.5cm). The jugs weigh 1.145kg and 1.105Kg.
~ Condition ~
The handle of one of the jugs has been broken in the past and been repaired. The other jug has a firing crack through one of the applied dogs, but this does not affect the piece else where.
