~ American M1 Carbine EU/UK Spec Deactivation ~
The American .30 M1 Carbine was developed as a smaller semi-automatic weapon with high firepower for close-range combat. It is shorter and lighter than the M1 Garand rifle, the standard main battle rifle of the US Army in WWII. The goal was to produce larger quantities of the M1 Carbine than any other US small arms during the Second World War. Production started in August 1941 and continued through to August 1945, resulting in over 6 million rifles being produced by 10 main contractors.
This Carbine is stamped with the manufacturer’s name “Inland Div” (Inland Division of General Motors) and serial number 6323145. This particular carbine was produced between August 1944 and November 1944. They were manufactured in batches, and an approximate date when they were made is given. This carbine has no post-war additions made, which is quite nice to see.
