The 1939–1945 Star, is a military campaign medal instituted by the United Kingdom on 8 July 1943 for award to British and Commonwealth forces for service in the Second World War.
The Africa Star, is a British military campaign medal established on 8 July 1943 to recognize service by British and Commonwealth forces in North Africa between 10 June 1940 and 12 May 1943 during World War II.
The Defence Medal 1939-1945, established by the United Kingdom in May 1945, was awarded to citizens of the British Commonwealth for non-operational military service and specific civilian contributions during the Second World War. The obverse, designed by Humphrey Paget, features a left-facing bareheaded effigy of King George VI, encircled by the inscription “GEORGIVS VI D:G:BR:OMN:REX F:D:IND:IMP.” (George VI, by the grace of God, King of all the Britains, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India). The reverse, created by Harold Parker, depicts the Royal Crown atop an oak sapling, flanked by a lion and lioness, above stylized waves. The years “1939” and “1945” appear at the top corners, with “THE DEFENCE MEDAL” inscribed in two lines in the lower exergue.
The War Medal 1939–1945, is a British decoration awarded to those who had served in the Armed Forces or Merchant Navy full-time for at least 28 days between 3 September 1939 and 2 September 1945. The obverse of this cupro-nickel medal bears the crowned head of King George VI and the legend GEORGIVS VI D: G: BR: OMB: REX ET INDIAE IMP:’. The reverse shows a victorious lion trampling on a dragon with the dates 1939-1945′ above.

The four medals are in good condition. There is one medal missing from the bar. WW2 Medals were not engraved when issued. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
