~ Cased French WWII Era Favorita Binoculars x8 Magnification ~
A pair of WW2 era cased “Prisma Binocle”, produced by the French manufacturer Favorita.
The binoculars are stamped with their type and maker.
The case is made from a fine, brown leather stamped with the maker’s logo and the serial number A10/10614.
The binoculars come with their original carrying strap, however the case has lost its strap.
~ Dimensions ~
The binoculars stand at 4.5 inches (11.5 cm) when closed and 4.7 inches (12 cm) when fully extended.
The objective lenses measure 1 inch (2.5cm) in diameter of visible glass.
The case stands at 5 inches (12.8 cm) and measures 5 inches (12.8cm) wide by 2.1 inches (5.5 cm) deep.
The binoculars in their case weigh 600 grams.
~ Condition ~
There is some wear to the paint and on the leather covering the body, though the binoculars are in an otherwise good condition. The optics have been tested and are in excellent working condition with a good focus. They will require some cleaning.
The case is excellent with minimal signs of wear.
