~ Circa 1930’s Clarice Cliff Bizarre Tresco Pattern 14 Piece Dinner Set ~
A lovely large dinner set in the ‘Tresco’ pattern by Clarice Cliff.
The set consists of: A large meat dish, four dinner plates, five side plates, two tureens, a gravy boat and a bowl.
The pieces are all of a rectangular form and hand painted in vivid colours.
Each piece is stamped to the underside ‘The Biaritz, Royal Staffordshire, Great Britain, Regd. No. 784849, Hand Painted, Bizarre by Clarice Cliff, Wilkionson Ltd, England’.
~ Dimensions ~
The meat dish measures 16 inches by 11 inches (40.5cm x 28cm).
The dinner plates measure 10 ½ inches by 8 ½ inches (26.5cm x 21.5cm) each.
The side dishes measure 7 ¼ inches by 6 ¼ inches (18.5cm x 16cm) each.
The tureens measure 5 ¼ inches by 8 inches by 6 inches (13.5cm x 20.5cm x 15cm) each.
The set weighs 7.86 Kg.
~ Condition ~
One of the dinner plates, a side plate, the gravy boat and the meat dish have cracks and/or repairs.
The bowl and one of the tureens each have a tiny chip to them.
The set is otherwise in a very nice condition with just some crazing to the glaze in parts.
