~ Early 20th Century Copper Binnacle Compass ~
The binnacle is constructed of brass and copper. It has a magnetic compass. The front has a slanted, beveled glass panel, the top equipped with a wire brass bail. The side of the binnacle has a housing for an oil lantern which is absent.
~ Dimensions ~
The binnacle has a length of 7 inches (17.75cm), a width of 7.5 inches (19cm) and a height of 9 inches (22.75cm). It weighs 4.14Kg.
~ Condition ~
The binnacle has some general age wear, such as colour loss, scratching and general wear. The gimballed compass points North.
