~ Fine WW1 Converted Propeller Blade Cross Section Caddy ~
This is a cross section of a propeller blade, taken from near the central hub, and mounted on a base from closer to the hub.
It has been converted into a smoking caddy with two unlined deep round compartments, one for tobacco and the other for matches.
The lid has an inlaid parquetry oval rosette.
This fits snugly on top, and is held in place by two circular pieces. One has a rough surface for striking matches.
It would also make an interesting tea caddy or desk tidy.
