We believe that this is a circa WW” period German Submarine Hatch. The hatch is marked Auf and Zu on the outside and inside wheel. There is an old warning sign on the inside, orange frame with a yellow cross.

63.5cm diameter (base 70cm including rim), wheel is 24.5cm
